PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — The American Eagle Foundation (AEF) announced today that the United States Mint will no longer sell its 2008 Bald Eagle commemorative coins to the public after Friday, Dec. 12th.
The gold, silver and clad coins celebrate the recovery of the Bald Eagle to America and the upcoming 35th Anniversary of the Endangered Species Act on Dec. 28th (www.usmint.gov or 800-USA-MINT).
There are only 29,000 gold five dollars and 120,000 silver dollars remaining in the three-coin collection
